About Me

My photo
I'm just a mom who loves her family. I love to sing in the choir at my church, read books to my grandchildren, along with solving the world's problems & spending time with friends! I want to walk a better walk each day, live a healthier life and leave the light of Jesus shinning wherever I go. That's not my New Year's Resolution, it's my Life's Ambition. I am a family lady who teaches her children at home, works at church designing worship services with a team of humble servants. I love embroidery, music & business ideas!

Lemon Tahini

Try this:  one cup of tahini
               -  not familiar with tahini?   it's sesame seeds ground into a paste
(like peanuts are ground up into peanut butter!)
you can grind them yourself using a food processor, or vitamix,
OR  you can buy it at the health food store.
              About sesame seeds,  Wikipedia says
"The seeds are exceptionally rich in ironmagnesiummanganesecopper, and calcium (90 mg per tablespoon[5] for unhulled seeds, 10 mg for hulled), and contain vitamin B1 (thiamine) and vitamin E (tocopherol).[6] They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Among edible oils from six plants, sesame oil had the highest antioxidant content.[7] Sesame seeds also contain phytosterols associated with reduced levels of blood cholesterol. The nutrients of sesame seeds are better absorbed if they are ground or pulverized before consumption, as in tahini.

next:   1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of Bragg's Amino Acids
                                 -  yeah... add this to your health food store list!
it's great to add to all kinds of foods.
It provides a flavorful way to get those healthy amino acids.
             a little bit of water
Mix all these ingredients together really well until you have a "dipping" consistency.
Wash and slice your favorite fruit, dip it in the Lemon Tahini and enjoy your snack (or dessert).
